Our belief is that chiropractic like other health measures is there to be utilised regardless of your level of health. We all know we can improve ourselves daily. A perfectly healthy person needs a good diet, regular exercise, proper rest, a good mental attitude and a nervous system without interference. A person at the other end of the spectrum needs the same.

Coming from a Sports Science and Personal Training background we see Chiropractic Care like an exercise program. You can exercise until you reach a desired weight or exercise with the idea it is something to be done for your health and wellbeing for the rest of your life.

If you exercise for life you experience the major benefits of consistent exercise on a physical, chemical and emotional level but if you exercise for weight loss you usually end up having your weight go up and down which some authorities say is worse than being overweight constantly.

You can try and use chiropractic that way to achieve your short-term results or you can look to benefit from long term consistency.

Remember our area of focus is the location and correction of the subluxation using NIP as the correction of these result in your body working better.

This is because your body heals itself. Therefore, exercising to lose weight in the short term misses the real value of exercise so too does only using chiropractic care to try and achieve the results you want.

For example, exercising once a week is better than no exercise at all but not nearly as valuable as exercising on a regular, consistent basis like three or four times a week.  Similarly, getting adjusted once is better than not getting adjusted at all, but not nearly as valuable as getting adjusted on a regular program of care to monitor your bodies progress.

Therefore, the complexity of your case along with our aim being a long-term improvement and maintenance of this improvement in your function and health guides our recommendations for the number and frequency of visits to our practice.

All health improvements take time, effort and repetition but in the short term you will notice changes.
